A few highlights from this week’s very inspiring MassBio Policy Leadership Breakfast. This is always a great event but particularly compelling this year as industry and state leaders shared their poignant personal stories as well as their passion for our industry and the important medical innovations we bring to patients. John F. Crowley's speech was both inspiring and humbling as the Biotechnology Innovation Organization CEO described his personal story and how it inspired his remarkable career in biotech. His conceptualization of biotechnology as a patient-focused ecosystem from discovery all the way through reimbursement where we all play a part in the integrated whole to bring hope to patients offers us a new framework from which to draw purpose.
